The Rooster Medallion

     The perfectly preened curls. That proud, cock-sure stance. A loud, tone deaf crooning every morning. No, it's not your uncle Harry, it's our new Rooster Medallion! With a style all its own, this cocky circle of color livens up anywhere its hung. Ours is currently hanging on our chicken coop, painted roughly to match, and I must say the chicks are seriously digging it.

     Personally, I enjoy the obviously artistic style. Not just of the colors, (although those are marvelous too, I love those emerald-sheen feathers) but also the variety of the "curl" theme used; notice the subtle way the outer curl-border accommodates the curled tail feathers. Or maybe it's the other way around. Which came first, the feathers or the curls? Only the artist knows.
