The Sun Medallion is designed much more stylistically that our other models, being decorated with spirals and interesting geometric paraphernalia, and is also our only medallion that has genuine marbles inset on the outer rim. As usual, there's various color schemes, almost all reflecting the stereotypical sun colors of yellow and orange, but there are also a few alternate styles, including my favorite; a somewhat smaller version with a strikingly vivid sky-blue border.
Next up, a word to the wise: the big companies care about their money, and tend to be stuck in their ways. Not us! As Mom mentioned a few posts back, when a few customers mentioned that they would like to see us make Quilt Square designs, we got right to work, and soon afterward came out with our most geometric products to date.
I personally don't see the point in them, but of course I am not a quilter! One nice feature I have noticed however is the way the entire design changes when rotated a mere 45 degrees. This was actually the cause of a humorous misunderstanding when one customer who, upon receiving a quilt square design from us, insisted we had done it wrong, until she realized a slight tilting of the head solved the entire problem.
