The perfectly preened curls. That proud, cock-sure stance. A loud, tone deaf crooning every morning. No, it's not your uncle Harry, it's our new Rooster Medallion! With a style all its own, this cocky circle of color livens up anywhere its hung. Ours is currently hanging on our chicken coop, painted roughly to match, and I must say the chicks are seriously digging it.
Personally, I enjoy the obviously artistic style. Not just of the colors, (although those are marvelous too, I love those emerald-sheen feathers) but also the variety of the "curl" theme used; notice the subtle way the outer curl-border accommodates the curled tail feathers. Or maybe it's the other way around. Which came first, the feathers or the curls? Only the artist knows.
In any case, if you have an idea for a new color scheme, size, or even a completely new design, shoot us a message! We'd love to hear from you. Yes. you.
We're new at this, but the dream is to create and design these medallions as a full time occupation. Wish us luck!

The Sun Medallion and Quilt Square
Hello, hello, and welcome back to another episode of "This New Medallion".
Do you want to advertise your sunny personality? Is there a sunroom in your house, but nobody calls it by its proper name? Do you want a gift for a son who likes puns? If you answered Yes to any of these questions, then you should have a look at this latest addition to our blog, the imaginatively named Sun Medallion!
The Sun Medallion is designed much more stylistically that our other models, being decorated with spirals and interesting geometric paraphernalia, and is also our only medallion that has genuine marbles inset on the outer rim. As usual, there's various color schemes, almost all reflecting the stereotypical sun colors of yellow and orange, but there are also a few alternate styles, including my favorite; a somewhat smaller version with a strikingly vivid sky-blue border.
Next up, a word to the wise: the big companies care about their money, and tend to be stuck in their ways. Not us! As Mom mentioned a few posts back, when a few customers mentioned that they would like to see us make Quilt Square designs, we got right to work, and soon afterward came out with our most geometric products to date.
I personally don't see the point in them, but of course I am not a quilter! One nice feature I have noticed however is the way the entire design changes when rotated a mere 45 degrees. This was actually the cause of a humorous misunderstanding when one customer who, upon receiving a quilt square design from us, insisted we had done it wrong, until she realized a slight tilting of the head solved the entire problem.
